After years of mediocre films M. Night Shyamalan is back! Thanks in part to the quality and success of this film. James McAvoy gives one of the finest performances I’ve ever seen, easily his best, and that’s really saying something. McAvoy plays a man with 24 very different personalities that abducts three girls. The movie is chilling mainly due McAvoy’s creepy portrayal of these various personas. This may be a thriller, but it’s scarier than many horror movies. I couldn’t help but be intrigued from scene-to-scene on what the next persona would do and say. Not only is this one of the best thrillers of the year, but also one of the best movies of 2017. A must see.
