HELL OR HIGH WATER

I was initially hot and cold on this movie, but after seeing it again I grew a better appreciation of it. Chris Pine delivers his best performance to date. Jeff Bridges is so good as a small town Texas Ranger that I couldn’t stand him. The film has a very ”Texas” look and tone to it. The story follows two brothers (Pine and Ben Foster) who partake in high risk local town bank robberies. They are constantly on the run from the grizzled Texas Ranger that’s played by Bridges. This film isn’t flashy, but it’s gritty. It’s a violent movie at times so not for the faint of heart. It’s raw and authentic to the region. It’s a movie you should see for yourself and make an opinion of it yourself. Give it a chance, I did.
