WAR DOGS

One of my personal favorite movies of the year. War Dogs is a fascinating real life story of two regular guys who became the leading arms dealers during the war in Afghanistan. Jonah Hill and Miles Teller have great on-screen chemistry together. Hill is so good and fun, one of my favorite and funniest performances that I’ve seen from  him (that’s saying a lot). What makes the movie so great and entertaining is the presentation of it. It’s funny, scary, outrageous and engaging in just the right moments. It’s lavish when the action takes place in Miami, but much darker when the action takes place overseas. It’s that balance that makes the movie so dynamic. There stakes are raised and grounded with the right kind of flare and payoff. There is little not to like about the movie. It has all the elements styalistically, perfomance wise, dialogue and plot action that emerses a viewer. I was excited and locked in thrughout. If you molded The Wolf of Wall Street with The Big Short and with Pain and Gain then  you’d get War Dogs. That’s a heck of a blend. Go get this movie, it’s well worth you time and money.
