LA LA LAND:
The almost Best Picture of 2016 is one of my personal favorites. While Moonlight won Best Picture, it’s La La Land that will have the lasting power years down the road. It is simply spectacular. It looks like a throwback to the classic musicals of the 50’s and 60’s, but it is also boasts a modern story and flare. The sets and locations are colorful and pop. The on-screen chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone is electrifying. This movie is addicting. The song and dance numbers are outstanding. I’m not even a fan of musicals, but this one is next level. La La Land is romantic and joyous with many unforgettable moments. This is a must see for anyone. Seriously it’s hard not to fall in love with this movie. An instant classic. Pick it up and buy it.
