WOLVES:
Michael Shannon has been on a roll lately. Fresh off his Oscar nomination he stars in Wolf, a movie where he plays a gambling addicted father to his star basketball recruit son. Shannon is once again very good, but so are Carla Gugino and Taylor John Smith in their respective roles. This movie touches on family dynamic in relation to gambling. It’s the kinda stuff that can actually happen in reality. Even the basketball scenes have enough at stake to make them compelling. This is a solid film that will definitely keep up your interests.
