Paramount is hoping for their own adventure Blockbuster like Pirates of the Caribbean and are hoping to do it with the Hunchback of Notre Dame as they have optioned a pitch for a live action feature film.
Paramount Pictures has pre-emptively picked up an original pitch from rookie screenwriters Willie Block and Jake Emanuel. The high-concept action-adventure story mixes original ideas with the traditional “Hunchback of Notre Dame” story.
And who doesn’t like Beauty and the Beast stories? Awkward well meaning social misfits winning the heart of the hot girl?
They are staying tight lipped about what will make it so original, so I will have to hold out on a reaction until there is something to react to. Right now we just know that it will be adapted from the Hunchback story.
