If you are going to make a movie about geeky Larp (Live Action Role Playing) re-enactment stuff gone horribly wrong, you best be making sure you include a lot of fan favourite geeks – especially when you name it Knights of Badassdom!
So when I saw this kind of cheesey horror was just PACKED with iconic geek royalty, I just couldn’t help myself.
I was reminded mostly of Role Models and how it used Larp as a super nerd outlet, but this really goes in a different direction.
And holy crap is Summer Glau just amazing! Ryan Kwanten (True Blood heartthrob) is a nice touch for the grounded everyday man character dragged into this insanity. Peter Dinklage has risen (pun intended) as my favourite character on Game of Thrones, and he is just awesome in this trailer too. Adding in Danny Pudi (Community’s resident eccentric film fanatic Ahbed) just put the icing on the cake for me.
