We have an excerpt from an interview Eckhart gave in the LA Times and was made available to us thanks to the good people over at comingsoon: (Possible Spoiler!)
“I can tell you that, basically, when you look at Two-Face, you should get sick to your stomach. Being the guy under all that, well, that was a lot of fun for me. It’s like you would feel if you met someone whose face had pretty much been ripped off or burned off with acid. I can’t talk about it beyond that because I don’t want to give away too much of the plans by Chris.”
The thing is, he and Nolan did give away more in the interview, which includes a new photo (see above) and can be read in full here! The Batman Begins follow-up hits conventional theaters and IMAX on July 18.
I had the chance to see the most recent Batman trailer on the big screen yesterday when I saw Iron Man, and I was pretty excited to see Eckhart on screen with Christian Bale. The two look like they play off of each other very well, and I am looking forward to seeing Eckhart’ s rendition of Two-Face. I have never been that fond of the character, although in Batman: The Animated Series – he was pretty awesome. I hope Eckhart is more like the voice actor in the cartoon than Tommy Lee Jones in Batman 3.
