  1. Concerning that Land Of The Dead got banned in Ukraine – I don’t understand why this kind of things happens. Why zombie movies are banned in a country with an unfortunate similar event in its history. Why americans avoided to make any movie related to September 11 only until recently. Why each time something terrible happens, people avoid making movies about that event for some time. When something terrible happens in my life, I like watching movies about similar events, which I can relate to and which sometime help me get through that part of my life.

Now, I understand why the german people would avoid making movies about the human side of Hitler. I understand why V for Vendetta might have been delayed due to the London bombings, because its main character uses terrorist tactics to fight against his totalitarian society.

But it’s not like Land Of The Dead promotes cannibalistic behaviour or encourages the murder of thousands of people. It’s not like a Sepember 11 movie would necessarily present arab terrorists like brave men who fight for a worthy cause, or something like that. So why avoid/ban them? I really don’t understand.
