Yes, I did say interesting didn’t I? Check out the Best Newcomer, cool on the little guy! Winslet and Shaun, fantastic news, and well done them. Shaun deserves everything it gets, as long as those are good things.

Woa just a minute though. Best Actor, Matt Damon?! Out of the whole year of movies he was the best actor? No way, I mean he was good, but not the best, please. How could the movie also take Best Film? I have very strong personal feelings about that movie, and I know they aren’t shared with everyone. Too much camera shake, too many close ups and you couldn’t see a bleeding thing! Where are we in this scene? Who is chasing who?! What car just crashed?…Enough…I ranted enough about it before. Still, whatever your feelings this is far from Best Film…what about Aviator, Million Dollar Baby, anything for god’s sake!

There are quite a few odd choices, and I shall leave the ranting podium and let you guys step up. Be nice now, but be vocal!

  1. Ey Rich, I thought of you first when I found out Julie Delpy won for Best Actress. *grins*

Is that enough incentive to rent “Before Sunrise” and “Before Sunset”? *winks*

I wasnt expecting much from the Empire Awards, I suppose this is really more of a fan based awards which is good that fans finally have a say, besides, we are the ones who pay and watch these movies. It’s good that Damon was recognised for his work as Jason Bourne, his career has really picked up since.

I have just lost the will to rant, it will be the death of me if I do. *laughs*
