A new comedy is quietly hitting the rounds and it has a little different feel than the Apatow style domination of the genre.
And we get our first look at Extract with a teaser trailer and I have to say I am hooked.
Opening on September 4, the film stars Jason Bateman, Mila Kunis, Kristen Wiig, J.K. Simmons and Ben Affleck. It centers on a flower extract factory owner (Bateman) who’s dealing with workplace problems and a streak of bad luck, including his wife’s affair with a gigolo.
Despite not being a follower of Arrested Development (no particular reason, just never got around to watching it), I just adore Jason Bateman in comedy. The instant I saw him on screen during this trailer I was hooked. Then to see JK Simmons? Mila Kunis? And then who is that bearded guy.. holy crap I didn’t even recognize Ben Affleck.
The trailer looks really funny and charming. I am really looking forward to seeing Extract.
Mike Judge + Jason Bateman = Yes, I will see this movie.
Arrested Development is the only good/funny comedy show EVER.
And the day the Apatow crew dies will be a better one.
This looks like it will be pretty good.
Also, I have a thing for Ms. Kunis.
She just doesn’t know it yet.

Also, Rodney…I was never into Arrested Development till recently when my friend turned me onto it. You have to see it.
I’ll see anything with Bateman in it. The guy is a riot. And Rodney, I strongly suggest you put Arrested Development at the top of your must see list.
