A new comedy is quietly hitting the rounds and it has a little different feel than the Apatow style domination of the genre.
And we get our first look at Extract with a teaser trailer and I have to say I am hooked.
Opening on September 4, the film stars Jason Bateman, Mila Kunis, Kristen Wiig, J.K. Simmons and Ben Affleck. It centers on a flower extract factory owner (Bateman) who’s dealing with workplace problems and a streak of bad luck, including his wife’s affair with a gigolo.
Despite not being a follower of Arrested Development (no particular reason, just never got around to watching it), I just adore Jason Bateman in comedy. The instant I saw him on screen during this trailer I was hooked. Then to see JK Simmons? Mila Kunis? And then who is that bearded guy.. holy crap I didn’t even recognize Ben Affleck.
The trailer looks really funny and charming. I am really looking forward to seeing Extract.
