Constructicons In Transformers 2?

Devastator-T-2.jpgTake this with a GIANT grain of salt because some time ago Michael Bay announced he would purposefully “leak” fake news to leave everyone guessing if the latest Transformers scoop was real or not.

Having said that, our good friends over at IESB claim they have some inside information about some characters we can expect to see pop up in the next installment of The Transformers (The first one was nothing short of bloody WICKED for what it was). Included in that list, is the Constructicons.

For those of you unfortunate people without a glorious childhood that included The Transformers, the Constructicons are a set of Decepticons (bad guys) that transform into various pieces of construction equipment who then also combine to form 1 giant Decepticon named Devastator.

If this is true (And do keep that warning at the top in mind) it’s unlikely that they’ll call the single giant robot Devastator since they used that name for the Tank character in the first movie. But whether his name is “Devastator” or not is totally inconsequential… it would be freaking sweet to see the Constructicons regardless of their name.

Here’s hoping…. but I won’t be surprised at all if this is one of those fake Bay leaks. We’ll have to wait and see I guess.

  1. If Bay want to pay homage to G1 then he will have 6 Constructicons and not 5. Besides, it wouldn’t be the Constructicions with 5 robots just like it wouldn’t be the Dinobots without Grimlock.

Bay really messes up on the 1st movie having one of the character name Bonecrusher. I guess he wasn’t thinking about having the Constructicons in the 2nd movie. I am very curious as to how he will replace Bonecrusher in the Constructicons and if he will call it Devastator.

  2. @ Ezell

dude devastator was around before megazor

you know what? i think that power rangers wouldnt be such a bad movie if they make it not-gay
like make it with kickass robots and cool power ranger outfits- oh yeah and get rid of the pink power ranger
be like blue green yelow black white and red
that would be so kickass if they make it without the homoness that plagued the original show

thats a great idea guys…..just remember to follow the WWJD

    What Would Jamie Do?

  3. hey!! guys!!!!
i know bay is going to fuck it up somehow- lik not really fuck up but like fuck up so that only people that watched the show or read the comics will be able to tell!!!!
like i bet that one of the decepticons that make up devastator will be like… grapple
hehe…aaahh i see it now. and also hell name devastator brawl watch if he does im the one that called it I CALLED IT IT WAS ME!!!!!!

but he will watch hell make some stupid mistake like that and ill remind you all of this little comment.

    the jamie was here.

  4. @ krystina moe john karl fisher- hell everyone!

lol you guys ratchet heals him afterwards but they dont SHOW it. just like they didnt show them fixing barricade after the beat down he had against BB. remember how fucked up barricade was? he looked worse then BB did. and he got right back up and the decepticons had no medics at their disposal. and they didnt have the allspark either or else..well you know…the movie would have been over. and ratchet sayd he was still working on him im guessing bumblebee rebooted hiomself sometime during the last fight.

and really john?? wratchet? i thought it was ratchet
not like the video game fox lokin dude but i thought it was a coinsidence….hhmm wratchet (doesnt really matter…)

  5. It was unclear in the movie. You see Ratchet shoot that red beam at him during the Autobot intro scene, but BB doesn’t speak until the very end. Everyone in the theater was like, “WTF? He talks? How?” I guess the beam healed him, but it’s unclear as to whether the beam healed him right away and he had no reason to talk(which is bullshit. He would have been yelling “GET THE FUCK OFF ME!” when he was being captured), whether the beam healed him progressively over the course of the movie, or whether it was the Allspark that healed him. If it was the Allspark, why didn’t it fix his legs up after they got blown the fuck off? Remember, BB hands Sam the Allspark after he loses his legs, so why doesn’t the cube shoot out magic beams and heal him right then and there the way that it healed that useless ass Frenzy at the Hoover Dam?

  6. To Karl Fisher:

Regarding your question about which Constructicon controlled Devastator; they all did. Devastator could only perform functions which all six members agreed on.

If Bay does add the Constructicons into Transformers 2, he’ll either have to replace Bonecrusher with another character, or just use the other 5 (Scrapper, Scavenger, Long Haul, Hook & Mixmaster) on their own.

I also know that there’s a debate on whether or not the remaining piece of the All Spark was destroyed or not. It wasn’t, because the very last shot of the movie has Shia & Megan Fox lying atop a repaired Bumblebee. Transformers don’t scan things to give them a body, they scan things that fit the size/shape of their bodies. Therefore, Bumblebee couldn’t just scan another Camaro, because his damaged body without legs couldn’t handle the design. It makes sense (to me) that the last piece of the All Spark was able to repair Bumblebee.

  7. I agree with Jamie with the name Devastator Being used in the first movie for Brawl (the tank) Dumbass!!
But I also agree with Kevin c Refering to the Devastator just as Constructacons could work but will they have one collective persona and voice or will they (When together) be silent cause i always wondered when i was a kid which one of the constructacons is in control of the collected body?

  8. The names arent all that important for the certain characters. They can get around the Devastator snafu by just referring to them as the Constructicons. Megatron, or whoever can just say “Constructicons, merge for the kill!” and never has to refer to them individually or as Devastator.

  9. WHATS BAY GOING TO DO NOW??? NAME DEVASTATOR BRAWL???? OR MAKE UP ANOTHER NAME FOR HIM!!?? CUZ HE ALREADY SMARTLY NAMED BRAWL DEVASTATOR!!!! JAAAACKAAASSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. I think having the Constructicons in Transformers 2 is a great idea. It’s something different because I bet some people didn’t know smaller robots can form into a giant robot. After they see the Constructicons, they will know.

I agree with Kevin C. This 2nd movie should be more about the robots then the humans.

I hope there are slower transformations and more fighting.

  11. To bad it won’t look as cool and iconic as the fan art posted here. That looks like classic transformers, quite unlike the crap in the actual movie.

  12. My biggest hope for the sequel is that the both the primary and secondary story revolves around the robots.

I want to see the Decepticons plotting and scheming in their hideout, I want to see the Autobots in their home base, I want to see Teletraan 1. The humans should be the third option in the narrative.

That would be aweome for me.

  13. I would wager that the fan favourites we hear milling around the net are the #1 priority for Bay to consider for the movie. If he could do it, he will.

Bay wants this movie to be awesome because he is AWESOME!

Giving the drooling fans exactly what they want will drive them right to the theater 16 times in the opening week. It only makes sense that he will try and fit the Constructicons in despite using Bonecrusher and Devestator names already. Give them different names. No one will care.

Also expect to see HotRod and Soundwave. Im sure they are both itching in his ears too.

Wheelie as a SmarCar would be the JarJar of the franchise, but I wouldnt put it past him to put SOME sort of kiddie appeal. Even just a little.

  14. i think it is a safe bet to assume the constructicons and soundwave to be in the next. i mean look at it from a set piece/effects point of view this would be the next milestone for them to create 5 robots merging!!! as photorealistic as the last film if not better!!!

ow and bays own ferrari……… hot rod!
if i was a betting man i would bet on all 3 to be dead certs. for the film!

  15. There is no fake info from Bay. He just said that so we’ll be guessing and second-guessing at every bit of info that comes out. You know of those things where you expect someone to play a prank on you, so you’re always looking over your shoulder and double-checking pretty much everything you touch and in the end, THAT was the prank? It’s one of those things.

Mark my words: Every bit of TF2 news from Bay will turn out to be true. EVERY bit. I guarantee it.

  16. Hey,

great Info. It would be awesome to have the Constructicons in the movie. With the twists they have in their history (at first they have been good i guess i remember) i guess it is possible to have finally a personality in an transformers movie (i didnt like, as many neither, that the personalities had been not developed very good in the first installment).
but as john has written, we have to remember bays possible “fake” information… vamos a ver.

  17. Hey Kanthan,

That’s just a picture of what Devastator looks like in general… it’s not supposed to be an actual picture of what he would look like in the movie.

  18. I think this is fake its not consistant design with the rest of the transformers from the film as always said they had to look like they could move. This guy looks more like straight copy from the cartoon

  19. If u follow the T Formers Posts u all know i have been begging to see them in T2. This would be awesome and would guarantee an oscar if we can see that shit on screen. holler holler
