News out today is that Josh Gad will star opposite Rainn Wilson in The Rocker, we get the scoop from the caves of Yahoo:
The film tells the story of a failed, over-the-hill drummer (Wilson) who, 20 years after getting booted out of a now uber-famous band, gets a second chance at fame with a new band.
Gad plays Wilson’s nephew and head of a high school rock band that Wilson joins.
I commented about this film when we heard that Rainn Wilson joined the cast. It sounds pretty damn funny. To see a failed rock star join his nephew’s band for a chance at renewed fame is the stuff of hilarious legend.
For those of you that are fans of Josh Gad I hope this brightens your day. I am not familiar with him yet, so I will not comment on his abilities. For those of you familiar with his work, are you happy to see him involved in this project?

I just saw the clips from “Back to You”, and this guy Josh Gad is really funny! The show should be great.
According to IMDB, he’s got a feature role on “Back to You” on FOX this Fall. I watched his clips on http://www.fox.com — this dude is funny at sh*t. Can’t wait to see the Rocker. Rainn is pretty damn funny too. Should be a good one…
