Star Wars Special Edition – Shortened?

This is the one version of Star Wars that we didnt see coming. Im still waiting for the ultimate, seamless, credit free Star Wars that blends all 6 movies into one 12 hour feature film with footage never seen before the footage we hadnt seen before the last version.

But it seems someone got radical on us and decided to cut out a few scenes. Well, a LOT of scenes (Mostly Natalie Portman’s cardboard Revenge of the Sith performances). Empire Online gives us this:

Now, thanks to The Reduced Shakespeare Company’s Adam Long, you can watch all your favourite scenes in the space of twenty minutes. Star Wars…Shortened!

This stage version will be performed in London on August 17. Right around the time they premier Episode III:Revenge of the Sith on TV.

Nobody tell Lucas. He will film it and release it on DVD in time for Christmas. With the Star Wars Original Cut that you bought in September, which also includes the Special Edition DVDs you already bought 2 years ago.
