Brett Ratner – Boys from Brazil

Looks like Brett Ratner is going to be spearheading a remake from the 70s film called The Boys from Brazil. The gang at Aint it Cool News scooped this:

You might remember it as the flick that starred [Gregory] Peck as a Nazi, a famous one at that, Dr. Josef Mengele, and [Lawrence] Olivier as a man hunting down war criminals. He stumbles upon this famous man and more than just finding a fugitive, he stumbles upon a bit of nastiness involving the Fuhrer’s DNA.

It appears much of the plot revolves around a former Nazi Hunter uncovering a plot to clone Hitler and bring about the Fourth Reich.

I think this might actually make for a good movie. Why? Well there just plain haven’t been enough Hitler movies lately has there??

I forsee this being a less serious comedy/action film like Brett Ratner’s Rush Hour franchise. Fun, packed with action and adventure! And Nazi’s!

As long as Chris Tucker doesnt get signed to (diva takeover) this project, I think it will be worth the watch. Might even make for a good Jackie Chan plot. I dont think Jackie has beat up Nazis before.
