Looks like M. Night Shyamalan has definitely lost his chance to make the adaptation of Life of Pi, according to The Guardian talks are in progress with another Director.
Alfonso Cuar√ɬ≥n, the director of Harry Potter: the Prisoner of Azkaban, and the acclaimed road movie Y tu mam√ɬ° tambi√ɬ©n, is set to direct the film adaptation of Life of Pi, Yann Martel’s Booker-prize-winning novel…
…If negotiations are successful, Cuar√ɬ≥n would be replacing M Night Shyamalan, the Sixth Sense director, whose name has been linked to the project for the last couple of years.
Once again I seem to go against popular belief and say that I thought the third Harry Potter movie was the better one out of the three, but then I’m not a Harry Potter fan so what would I know.
It’s a shame to judge a Director on such a closed franchise as Harry Potter, so it might be good to let him loose on something a bit more open. Still you can’t help but think that the unusual story is perfect for Shinealight.
