Foundation Season 2 Episode 8

Foundation Season 2 Episode 8 DEEP DIVE and BREAKDOWN

Thank you FANdation, We are back with another recap of our favorite “I don’t even know who’s really in charge anymore” show Foundation Season 2 Episode 8. I’m your host, Anthony, and I will do my best to be your guide in this far-out show as we’re actually picking up where Episode 7 ended where we saw Gaal captured by Tellem Bond for not taking no for an answer and investigating the mysterious departure of Hari Seldon.

This episode is titled “The Last Empress” which is a very cool title this one continues the trend of having multiple meanings where on one hand we learn that Sareth is in a position to take on the title of Empress of Empire but by doing so she’s putting herself at odds with Demerzel who threatens her and lets us know that it’s entirely possible that this would be bridge could end up being the first and last Empress of the genetic dynasty if she EFFS around and finds out but we also learn that this title is entirely fitting for Demerzel as we learn about her secret manipulations of the Empire dating back to Cleon the first and WOW I CANNOT WAIT to get into this episode.

Synopsis:

More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in “Foundation” season two. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy Empire from within. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with Empire. The monumental adaptation of “Foundation” chronicles the stories of four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.
