As many of you know, Elektra was one of my absolute favorite parts of Marvel’s Daredevil season 2, as I felt that she didn’t get the recognition she deserved.
Not only did she perfectly mix up being sexy, dangerous and sadistic in one, but Elodie Yung (who many would have never even chosen for the part), excelled in an original portrayal of the character.
Elektra was surprisingly stunning as she played much more of a role in Daredevil season 2 than most people expected.
With her even more shocking ending in Daredevil season 2, it is exciting to see that her character will indeed return for Marvel’s superhero team up.
2017 is going to be absolutely stacked with superhero content, as Marvel’s Netflix series will be debuting binge worthy TV shows all year long.
From Iron Fist, to Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher series, The Defenders is sure to over load fans with superhero joy as we get to see even more of our favorite characters.
Spoiler Ahead:
Since Elektra was revived by The Hand at the end of Daredevil season 2, it will be interesting to see if she will stick to her comic roots and go back to being a full blown villain as The Defenders take on the brutal ninjas.
Let’s just hope for Matthew’s sake (mine and Matt Murdock’s) that she eventually is able to come back from the dead and be an anti-HERO again.
