We are Your Friends is Social Network. But, just remove Mark Zuckerberg and replace him with a deejay played by Zac Efron. I’m not kidding people. The plot is almost verbatim. But, I like it (thumbs up with a hashtag followed by a smiley face). I loved Social Network. So, if I can get a retelling of it, in a non-copyright infringement way, I’m taking it. Every movie doesn’t have to be an original screenplay. However, delivery and execution are what matters. Those qualities are what sets films apart from one another. This film could possibly end up being worse than Jem and the Holograms; or, it could be better than the Godfather. But, who knows? That’s what makes movies so wonderful.
