Today we’re taking another look at David O. Russell’s The Silver Linings Playbook starring Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Jennifer Lawrence , and features the return of Chris Tucker to the world of cinematic entertainment.
It’s a cute looking film that looks like just about every other romantic comedy I’ve ever seen just with slightly better casting. Bradley Cooper can pull these movies off in his sleep and Jennifer Lawrence improves by the minute. Chris Tucker seems a little out of place in this film but I’m also confident he won’t have any trouble pulling off the token black guy in the movie. I really am indifferent about this film because I have little interest in the subject matter. Nothing seems exceptionally appealing or screams that if I were to watch only ONE Rom-com this year that it would have to be this one. I could be wrong on this but so far everything just seems a tad typical to most other films in this over-crowded genre.

I am looking forward to this. Early word from the festival circuit is its much more then a Rom-Com. Directo David O’Russell doesnt make chick flicks. This trailer is trying to sell the movie to men with more football and fighting, not to mention a lot less dancing.
