Ryan Gosling will NOT be in Logan’s Run remake

A lot of us who saw Drive walked away from the film with a strong impression. I’ve noticed that the feedback from the film was divided right down the middle with those who loved the movie (like me and Elliot), and those who despised the film for misleading them with the marketing. Either way most were aware that Gosling and director Nicolas Winding Refn had intentions to re-team on a remake of Logan’s Run to much excitement and fanfare. Never say never but never hold your breath without a *binding contract* with no wiggle room. Like Hugo Weaving. Word on the web is that Gosling has departed this project and moved on…

Variety’s Justin Kroll tweeted that Gosling has excited LOGAN’S RUN, he’s not running for this one no more. Does that mean Refn is no longer attached to it too? No word yet on that, but it may take a hile before this project moves forward..

Great. Just great. I’m not sure what woudl make the star remove himself from this project that he’d been attached to for so long except maybe the idea tha the was tired of waiting for the film to get moving. The film had been slated for a rewrite and was in those early stages where anything could happen but I definitely did not foresee this coming. Gosling is one of those stars that has good looks, charm, and an incredible well of talent that had me excited to see him approach the role but with his departure one has to wonder if there’s more to this story.

My excitement is dead and I can’t honestly say this film will stay on my radar. What next…
