The Beaver Teaser Poster Online

A teaser poster was released for Jodie Foster’s The Beaver, which also happens to star Mel Gibson. Considering his negative publicity lately I think its about time we got some news about the guy that shows off a movie he is in, and not gossip about his personal troubles.

Check it out.

I think the poster is great for a teaser. It sums up the premise of the film while USING the premise of the film. It doesn’t even have a title splashed on it. Its great. And it kind of reminds you that he makes movies, and that most of you liked those movies.

Honestly, putting Gibson’s personal issues aside, he is a fantastic actor, and it would be a shame for Jodie Foster’s film to get shelved just because of him. The film was slated to come out this year, but with two months left of it, and no release date announced it is all up in the air.

I have wanted to see this before I found out about Gibson’s most recent domestic issues, so I don’t want that to change just because I am conflicted about how I feel about him as a person.

And the poster is awesome.

  1. The fact that’s he’s a maniac aside, this is an awesome poster. Hopefully it will be a good movie, but I doubt that it will make a lot of money in the light of recent events…

  2. Here’s a great example of the life slowly corroding the person, in one way or another.

Seems like a man searching for meaning, an anchorc in life, be it in religion or family, both of which seem to have failed him…or he they…

  3. personal issues aside he is one of the top 5 actors of our generation and a top 10 director hands down. I am an Atheist so I can care less about his religious rant (Though you would think if they believe in history so well he has a right to rant at jews cause they did kill jesus that book he reads.) but that is neither here nor there and I am just a innocent bystander that has seen Mels breakdown over the years.

    1. Type your message here…I am also an Atheist, and I think we all have times when the stuff we say sounds Lunatic, the difference is we don’t get that recorded and then shown to the world, Guy just got a raw deal although he does have anger issues. As far as him being a good actor or Director I’d say he is an OK for both, not one of the best.

      1. One of the Best IS a little generous, Braveheart/Passion/Apocolipto(my fav of the bunch) were solid films and had great direction and editing.

But to put him in the same league(Greats) as Kubrick, Hitchcock,Scorcesse,Eastwood(yeah, why not?),and even Tarantino seems unwarranted. IMO

This Film seems odd, but who knows people forgave Hasslehoff for eating a cheeseburger off the floor, sooooooooo. It is what it is!

    2. I just wanted to point out, as a Christian, that the Jews didn’t kill Jesus, humanity did. He came here to die for our sins. That’s what his purpose was.

Not to start an argument, just correcting you there.
