Legendary Reveals Godzilla Concept Art

At ComicCon, Legendary Pictures revealed some concept art of what they propose their new version of Godzilla would look like in the most rebooted franchise in film history.

Apparently everyone got a shirt and when they saw themselves in the shirt on Legendary’s special screen they got a treat.

RamaScreen says:

Legendary Pictures unveiled this first look at the new GODZILLA at the recent Comic-Con ’10. Fans who were there received T-Shirts with this image and when they looked at themselves in a webcam at the legendary pictures booth, they’d be able to see ‘atomic breath’ come out of the Godzilla’s mouth.

Now I have never been that much of a Godzilla fan, but I have seen a number of the films and actually didn’t hate the Broderick version (until the raptor-zillas part) but this looks more like its leaning toward a classic Godzilla.

The body type looks almost humanoid which would accomodate a “man in suit” Godzilla, but I would rather see a gritty CG Godzilla that actually looks like it was more related to a lizard than man.

Tie in its existance with world lore like saying the creature was the reality that inspired Dragon myths and we have a good backdrop for a great film.

As long as he eats a puppy and steps on a city. A lot.

    1. Haha you don’t watch Indie movies much do you? XD

Watch the Godzilla 2012 new director Gareth Edward’s movie ‘Monsters’ and you’ll see how a Godzilla movie can be rated R without being gratuitous. ;)
