Robert Englund joins Inkubus

People itching to see Robert Englund back as Freddy never got their wish, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t getting any work. Englund will headline a horror film called Inkubus.

Dark Horizons says:

Carl Dupre and Glenn Ciano penned the story of a skeleton crew working the final shift at a soon-to-be demolished police station.

The night takes a gruesome turn when the demon Inkubus calmly walks into the station holding a severed head and begins to confess a litany of crimes, some dating back to the Middle Ages.

Aside from Freddy, I have never really been that impressed by Englund. I mean he doesn’t suck, and he was good in Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon but he was playing a tribute role to the very character he is best known for.

I suspect Englund will play a cop on that “last shift” likely headed for a last shift of his own retirement until trouble finds him.

  1. I enjoyed Englund in “Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer” and his role in 2001 Maniacs wasn’t bad either. He is always Freddy to the world but he does have skills outside that character.

  2. For people longing to see Englund as Freddy they should check out the episode of Bones from this season called, “The Death Of The Queen Bee”. He plays a creepy janitor that is Freddy in all but name.
