Bay to Produce Sword of Gideon

When milking a cow, the most effective method is to tug on the teets alternately. But Michael Bay is awesome, and he doesn’t have to follow such pedestrian rules! He milks that cow double fisted, with gusto!

He is so awesome, while a book is still nearly a year away from being published he will produce a movie out of it!

Empire says:

[Bay will] produce an adaptation of Gideon’s Sword for Paramount.

Sword is co-written by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, two writers who have been collaborating for a while on novels, and are planning to launch their new series, Gideon’s Crew, with the book next February.

Is it even fair to consider this an adaptation when the book isn’t even close to being finished? At this point, its a script that is also a novel which is going to be a movie.

Gideon’s Sword isn’t due out on bookstore shelves until next February, and its set to kick of a new series of books called Gideon’s Crew (I am speculating a spaceship sci-fi series) so we have no idea what the book is about.

Just some lucky writer out there got a book deal and movie deal at the same time. Its like dating twins! (so I am told)

  1. Well if they are both being done together (not just at the same time but some of the same people are working on both so it more like a joint project rather than two things going on at once) then I think it might work.
