Tron Legacy sequel already has Writers

With Lost wrapping up its six season run with a planned ending this spring, its writers need a job. And while they were trolling Craigslist, they got lucky and Disney snatched them up to write a sequel to a movie that isn’t even out yet!

The Filmstage says:

Lost writers/executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are working on the new script. No details yet on where the series will head. Some “insiders” predict Disney is planning a trilogy. Legacy director Joseph Kosinski hasn’t been signed on to return as director nor any cast members.

Now while they are optioning them to write a script for the sequel, I am sure it is just so they have gunpowder for the cannon when this thing goes big this December.

The sequel is not greenlit, but it looks like Disney is wasting no time making sure they have something lined up if Tron’s return is a big hit.

They drop the “trilogy” suggestion above, but I wonder if they mean to include the first film and add one more? Or are they suggesting this would be a NEW Trilogy implying there would be two more films of this new generation.
