Lost Boys 3 heads into Production

So while some sites are calling this Lost Boys3: The Thirst, while others are calling it Lost Boys3: The Bite, and even one site threw out a Lost Boys3: Thirst for the Bite.

So no matter what it is called, Lost Boys 3 is gearing up to start filming.

Bloody Disgusting says:

Warner Premiere is gearing up for Lost Boys 3: The Thirst, which was scripted by Evan Charnov. No details have been revealed thus far, but Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander were confirmed to return at the Frog brothers. Like Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, the film is being made for a direct-to-disc (DVD/Blu-ray) release. Director and story details as they come in.

So while there is a huge buildup to seeing some Corey on Corey action… you know that sounded far less gay in my head.

Anyways, if Lost Boys 2: The Tribe gave us anything it was that teaser at the end that showed Corey Haim facing off against Edgar Frog and that just reminded us what we REALLY wanted in a Lost Boys sequel.

Forget surfing vampires, and we already have the kind that glitter and 17 other incarnations on TV and coming films. Lets go old school!

  1. meh….idk what it is but ive never been a fan of those 80s genre flicks, the coreys are horrid to me and thought the 2nd one was garbage. did the movie make that much money, or is the nostalgic fanbase that big?

  2. I was soo Bummed when they didn’t bring back the half naked saxiphone player from the beach on the original one……. Kidding, Anyway I generally don’t think those kind of remakes of the originals work because they tend to want to make a completely different movie yet tie in with the old ones and end up way over doing it therefore your left with a story that besides the obvious tie ins has nothing to do with the original. On the other hand expect the worst and then be pleasantly suprised when it’s not the worst. I tend to enjoy pretty crappy movies because I try not to expect much out of anything.

    1. They did bring that character back! Didn’t you see the fat guy with the trumpet at the beginning of the movie in the same outfit as the one in the first movie? I cracked up when I saw that.

  3. I actually didn’t mind the Tribe too much. It had some cool gore and the new characters weren’t too bad. Plus the main girl was hot as hell.

No it couldn’t compare to the original, but still was watchable for me. If this new one does end up having a Corey Vs. Corey face off then OH HELL YA! Corey on Corey battle or not though, just hope it’s not worse then part 2 was.

  4. Love Lost Boys. That is one of my favorite flicks from the 80’s. Right up there with Goonies and Neverending Story.

The Tribe was something different. First time I watched it I watched it with a critical eye, hated it. Second time I watched later on Netflix; however, I watched it without being critical… more of a just-for-the-hell of it kinda viewing and really enjoyed it. Of course it doesn’t stand up close to the original, but was still pretty fun.

Because I let go and watched The Tribe a second time and found that I did in fact enjoy despite the shortcomings, I am pretty damn excited for the third installment. Especially if they have the show down between the Coreys and explain how Haime came to be at the end of the second one.
