It looks like How To Lose Friends And Alienate People Needed to add some hotness to the cast, and Megan Fox has been tapped to bring the deliciousness. We get the scoop of this casting from our friends at JoBlo:
Megan Fox has signed on to co-star in the upcoming comedy HOW TO LOSE FRIENDS AND ALIENATE PEOPLE. Fox joins the already cast Simon Pegg, Kirsten Dunst and Jeff Bridges in the adaptation of Toby Jones’ memoir of the same name. The story follows an editor recounting his days working at a glitzy New York magazine (Jones worked at Vanity Fair). Fox will play an upcoming Hollywood starlet (you don’t say?). Robert B. Weide (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) will direct the film for Britain’s Film 4.
This cast is shaping up to be a pretty eclectic mix. I am not a Dunst fan, but I can see how she may suit some roles. I am certainly pumped to see the director of Curb Your Enthusiasm involved in the project. That TV show is some of the best viewing ever; I think that flavor of humor is what is needed in a film like this and I will be looking forward to seeing how it plays out in the film.
I have not read the book but from what I gather it is reminding me of The Devil Wears Prada. The two stories may be nothing like each other, but when I think of magazines and jerks, I think Prada. I think it is safe to say that we will see more of Megan Fox post Transformers. Bay sexed her up like a champ in a PG-13 film and that is not an easy task. Maximum midriff exposure, and a lot of “slow leaning” makes for some suggestive sultry poses that sneak past the ratings police. Time will tell if she will be the next Jessica Alba, but with Alba wanting to star in more “serious” roles there is a good chance Fox will scoop up her slut work.
I say good for her, pretty people on the silver screen have been around since the Dinosaurs and they make people feel good about the future, in this age of war and uncertainty, what we need is more pretty. Thank the heavens for eye candy; without them, we would have to masturbate with tears.
