I debated whether or not I would publish this trailer on the site. I’m not a huge fan of intimate romance films mainly because the ones I see seem so generic and regurgitated to the point that I wonder if they’re just remaking the same movie one after another. This movie kind of reminds me of a few “toxic love” movies that we’ve probably all seen at one point or another.
You watch the trailer and tell me what you think:
There are things about this movie that seem intriguing but I gather the biggest draw are the performances. I am all for great performances but it all still seems vaguely familiar. Am I supposed to be impressed that Katie Holmes can play crazy? Am I impressed? Doesn’t this trailer make the film seem wholly predictable? The fact that I’m even asking myself these questions are turning off my interest.
Maybe it’s just not my thing. I’m totally indifferent yet weirded out with this movie. Maybe that’s the appeal…?
