I find myself sharing more and more content for this film. I don’t have a clear explanation for my actions as I’m certainly not the biggest fan of his films, but I’m theorizing that there’s some part of me deep down inside that wants him to succeed with films that don’t have the name ‘Madea’ in the title. They make bad choices about their marriages. They get divorced. And so many of them don’t step out of their situation and really think about the consequences of what they’re doing. This movie asks, ‘Are you sure you want to do this?’ It sends up a flag.”
