Tom Hardy attached to Splinter Cell

I’m going to preface this by saying that I’m immediately placing this film next to Metal Gear Solid, Assassins Creed, and all other video game films that have been announced in the last 5 years for no apparent reason because I don’t believe they’ll ever exist. That being said there are reports that Ubisoft is internally developing a Splinter Cell film with their film division before shopping the product to studios and have managed to attach Tom Hardy to the film.

Tom Hardy is attached to star in Ubisoft’s movie based on the company’s video game Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell…

Eric Singer, who wrote the Black List script American Bullshit, is writing the Splinter Cell script. (Bullshit is hasDavid O. Russell attached to direct and has Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner set to star.)

Splinter Cell is described as a stealth video game and centers on a Sam Fisher, a highly-trained special operative in a fictional black-ops division. He and his team battleinternational terrorists.

I’ll believe it when I see it. That is all.
