Hugh Jackman’s robot boxing movie Real Steel is close to coming out… next October. So what we really need is a trailer featuring the real action and excitement of the film a good 11 months before launch.
This doesn’t look as bad as i thought it would. I am not a fan of the robots designs though. They look a bit too cartoony to be real.
Still, until this trailer I have been cautiously optomistic. Jackman does angry screaming really well and he is good in action films.
But this trailer has solidified my indifference. I can live without this one.

honestly looks better than the transformers movies…i really dig the designs they look like how id imagine actual robots to look, especially homemade ones…clunky, heavy, colorful..cant wait, im a big fan of boxing and big robots so fuck yea!!
I think it looks like fun. Its not gonna win oscars for special effects or acting performances, but it looks like fun. Robots beating the snot out of each other, mantastic Hugh Jackman, decent production value. I’ll be there.
I think it seems interesting. I never thought in my life they would make a live action Rock Em, Sock Em Robots film but then again they did make a film based off of Clue. I actually like the designs of the robots and their 80’s anime style. They seem so unreal that they fit into that reality if that makes sense to anyone. The effects are not too bad, I will wait on this till it comes closer to release.
Looks like a fun movie, I like the whole idea of boxing robots.

The robots design could have worked in a less dark setting. All of the fights were dimly lit, so the brightly colored bots really looked out of place. Had this movie shown the fights as more theatrical and less dramatic, their design could have worked well.
A trailer this early is ridiculous, especially one that’s this long. I could have understood a teaser.

I liked it. I thought the robots looked pretty realistic. And the story seems like it could be interesting. Sign me up.
This movie comes out in October of next year and we already have a trailer. Come on…where’s Captain America and Thor already??? I agree with Rodney, the robot’s look kinda fake.I guess who ever made this movie didn’t realize two Transformer movies have already came out and pretty much raised the bar in regards to the look of robots in movies. Good luck…but I think Hugh has another flop on his hands. Poor guy is only going to be remembered for Wolverine.

Tomorrow they are launching a new Thor Trailer that promises to show a LOT more.

Thanks Hazmat for the info. I’ve seen the one you’re talking about but that wasn’t really considered a proper trailer, just something Marvel was cool enough to whip up for the fans at comic con. That’s why they removed it from the web. Or…it’s really hard to find. Like Rodney said, I’m hoping for a trailer that reveals more of Asgard and gives us a true feeling for the scope of the film.
WOW, this is utter crap! I am all about making money and selling out because at the end of the day you gotta look out for number 1 but damn Hugh not like this.
