Ricky Gervais and Emily Blunt have reportedly joined the cast of Jason Segel’s Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time.
Emily Blunt and Ricky Gervais are the latest additions to the cast of the upcoming Muppet Movie, which is currently shooting in and around Los Angeles and (as evidenced by a handful of new set photos) will feature Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and the rest of Jim Henson’s classic creations.
Interestingly enough we recently talked about Emily Blunt working with Jason Segel in Five Year Engagement right after he finishes with the Muppets, so it looks like Blunt will get to hang out with Segel in advance to polish her comedic timing.
And Ricky Gervais will make a nice addition as well.
Amy Adams as Segel’s girlfriend, Chris Cooper as an evil oil mogul, and Rashida Jones are also a part of the cast. Its starting to look like there may be more people than Muppets but it is likely that there will only be a few core people roles, and the rest will be minor parts.
The Muppets are no strangers to celebrity appearances.
