With Spike TV’s Scream Awards held this past Saturday, there was a theme of nostalgia with a special Back to the Future reunion, and not to be outdone, Bill Murray stepped out on stage in full Ghost Busters gear complete with his Venkmen badge.
Ok, now Murray is just fucking with us. Honestly with all his floundering over the proposed Ghost Busters 3 claiming he woudln’t reprise his role (and thereby holding up the whole thing) and then showing up at the Scream Awards, clearly comfortable with the nostalgia surrounding his character and the franchise.
Sometimes I think Bill Murray is the coolest, and sometimes he just seems like a pretentious jerk. But most of the time I just dont know what to think, because his main gig seems to be unpredictable.
Still, great to see him in the digs and I hope it is a symbol that this wont be the last time we see him in the tan jumper.
taking a second look at the pic…he has actually aged pretty well. It’s mostly the gray hair making him look older.

I wonder if the whole “on again/off again” status of the film and Murray’s jerk attitude is something of a marketing ploy or something that internally they’ve all agreed to carry on. I mean Murray’s always been snarky so why would he change now. As some people have said before on this site, if he’d do 2 Gardfield movies and turn down Ghostbusters 3 then he’s mentally unstable and not just bitter and mean. I still like him though.
