Priest is a Tokyopop comic that is being adapted to the big screen in all its gritty realism. The film will star Paul Bettany as the titular Priest on a mission to kill a coven of Vampires with the help of a half vampire lawman (Blade much?) and a sexy warrior priestess played by Maggie Q. Karl Urban will play the Vampire leader Black Hat.
Now we get to see our first look at the film thanks to a massive display at San Diego Comic Con.
Looks pretty sharp to me. That supernatural wild west feel didn’t work so well in the film adaptation of Jonah Hex, but maybe it will work here.
And of course its in 3D!

I think it’d be funny if the american comic, Preacher (by DarkHorse comics), came out with it’s own film adaptation at the same time.
This DOES look crisp. Looking forward to it.
