Goldman and Vaughn to ReWrite X-Men First Class

Matthew Vaughn is settling into his new job Directing X-Men First Class, but now we get wind that he is also doing a re-write of the script, and he wont be doing it alone. His oft times partner Jane Goldman will be brought on too.

JoBlo shares:

Matthew Vaughn, who recently signed on to direct X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, will be rewriting the script with his KICK-ASS partner Jane Goldman.

I was encouraged to hear that the script got a polish by Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz – who’s writing I enjoy a lot – but now it will be re-written by Vaughn and Goldman.

This opens the door up again wondering what First Class will be about.

I still want it to show young Xavier and Magnus becoming friends and starting the school – the splitting up over a dispute. The movie can end with a slightly older Xavier hopping on a helicopter and recruiting his First Class of students that he picks up from Six Mile Island (closing moments of Origins: Wolverine)

Would be interesting if they go that way as Scott already seems to have found some comraderie with Emma Frost in his facility incarceration and Jean Grey was already introduced as among his first students.
