Martin Lawrence was chatting up Death at a Funeral, and managed to slip in that he has been talking with Michael Bay and Will Smith about the possibility of doing a Bad Boys 3.
And it looks like if these three have anything to say about it (and they do) there will be a third film.
“It’s real realistic,” the comedian revealed to MTV News, addressing rumors that he’ll re-team with Bay and the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air once again. “We’ve talked about Bad Boys 3.”
Any time you can get Big Willie to come out and talk about doing a third installment of a hot movie like Bad Boys, you have to take notice, Lawrence explained.
I met with Michael Bay, and he said he’s onboard too — so it’s real.
This is one of the few franchises that I don’t mind Martin Lawrence in. I am not a fan of his headlining stuff, but I like how he plays off of Will Smith.
Smith could be returning to a wave of action hits to pad his career a bit more before taking on serious roles again, and I like Smith in both capacities, so its a win/win for me.
But Martin Lawrence needs the boost.
Im super excited that there is going to be a Bad Boys 3, the Smith- Lawrence duo is extrodinary and very entertaining to watch. I dont really remember the 1st and 2nd Bad Boys so im excited because i wont be so critical and comparing the qualites of all the movies, instead ill be focused on Will and Martin. I agree that Martin’s headlining movies havent been the most exciting especially over that past few years. Cant wait till this movie comes out and yes Martin Lawrence is getting some years under his belt, but you dont have to be young to be funny!
Last one was super loud and action packed and gave us a glimpse of a very young Megan Fox (all good things)
but the main villan was cookie cutter and silly (nothing menacing at all)

In a strange way I am looking forward to this purely because the buddy chemistry between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence is so good. I just hope they manage to find something good to base the storyline around.
Agreed this would be big for Lawrence. Im very happy to hear about this. I love the first two and I cant believe they made each one nearly 8 years apart. Smith and Lawrences chemistry is undeniable in this franchise. Theyre very funny and you get a real sense that they enjoy working together.
Cool, i always wanted this to be a trilogy.
