If rumour and hearsay has anything to do with it, Robert Duval may have just revealed that Brad Pitt will star and produce in the most famous family fued in American history.
Duvall revealed at a press conference for GET LOW that Brad Pitt is in talks to star in and produce the HATFIELDS AND THE MCCOYS film with Scott Cooper (CRAZY HEART) directing. There are no real quotes given that we could attribute to Duvall other than Pitt would play the “main guy” (and even then, only “main guy” is in quotes).
So in the Hatfields and McCoys, which one of them is “the main guy”. Seems to me there should be two main guys.
I like the idea of Pitt in a civil war era feud. And these two families have become American folklore with the two families on opposite sides of the war and their settlements opposite sides of a river.
This could be epic.
