X-Men 4 Is Still On The Table

Now this is interesting. There have already been 4 films based on the X-Men (X-Men 1, 2, 3 and this summer’s Wolverine). As some of you know, there are plans in motion for no less than 4 other films (Deadpool, Magneto, Wolverine 2 and X-Men: First Class).

It looks like you can add at least two more to that list. At a recent press event to promote the Wolverine Blu-Ray release, producer Lauren Shuler Donner (who has been a producer on all the X-Men films so far) dropped a bomb by saying they are also seriously looking at doing a full fledged “X-Men-4″ film, bring together all the original cast again.

She also mentioned possible plans for adapting “The New Mutants” into a film. The New Mutants were another team of younger mutants at the Xavier School For The Gifted.

It has already been reported that X-Men 1 and 2 director Bryan Singer has expressed interest in returning to the X-Men universe, but no indication on which of the developing projects he’d want to attach himself to (if any at all).

I’d love to see an X-Men 4 film with Singer at the helm. But is it realistic? Didn’t they screw it up too much to bring it all back together? (Cyclops dead, Jean dead, Professor X dead… well… sort of). This will be interesting. (source: Screen Rant)
