The Nostalgia Chick Reviews He-Man and She-Ra Movie

I have occasionally checked in on this girl’s Blip.tv channel as she is quirky cute and pretty damned entertaining. The Notstalgia Chick.

I was reminded by one of her older clips where she reviews the She-Ra and He-Man movie. Yes, I said MOVIE. The Secret of the Sword had a theatrical release in 1985. I seemed to have created some sort of mental block to the existence of this, but likely because I was at best a fringe He-Man fan, I likely didn’t care. (I think I was more Star Wars fixated at the time)

Anyways, I share with you now her review of the She-Ra and He-Man movie that kicked off She-Ra’s spinoff animated series. Its full of spoilers and stuff, just in case you are all jonesing to scour your local rental shop for this.

This was by far more entertaining than anything on that show, and the live action feature that I passed over in the bargain bin.

Plans for a He-Man film are still in limbo, and have been for years. Who knows if we will ever get to see an updated He-Man live action feature. I guess in the mean time those itching to see that can watch 300 with the sound off.
