Adam Sandler to collaborate with Apatow on Unnamed Comedy.

I am an admitted Apatow addict. I seem to just adore anything that comes from that iconic Apatverse in which Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, and Paul Rudd play every third human alive. I don’t care. I crave it. And I am not the only one, so it is no surprise that this career saving move by Adam Sandler has him attempting to ride the coat tails of the King Midas of comedy back into the positive limelight.

Cinematical says:

This time, Apatow has written a currently untitled comedy that will star Sandler, Seth Rogen, and Leslie Mann, and will be a co-project between Universal and Sony. While production is set to begin later this year, Judd is keeping the plot under wraps.

Now the fun part is to guess what this threesome would mean fora plot.

Rogen and Sandler have to pretend to be gay to get benefits and Mann will investigate?
Rogen and Mann are having a baby, and it comes out full grown in the form of Sandler?
Rogen and Sandler play childhood friends who both fall for the same girl (Mann of course)?
Rogen, Sandler and Mann reuinte as one of the 80s biggest popstar groups for a reunion tour?

And here is my funniest attempt at an Apatow script:
Three boys grow up together and reunite 20 years later to find one got a sex change and both boys struggle with the fact that he/she is now hot?

Its all random speculation as NOTHING has been said about this untitled project aside from who will be involved.

  1. To complement sfsilver’s comment Sandler AND Martin Lawrence are the worst thing(s) to happen to the film world.

They are as funny as a kick in the balls.

  2. Sandler is the worst thing to happen to the film world. Wasn’t his career over about 3 hot comedy stars ago? Only Carrey is more irrelevant. go away.

  3. One sinking Titanic (Sandler) to take out two smaller but more versatile cruisers (Rogen/Mann) or two tug boats (Rogen/Mann) to save said sinking ship and pull it into port for some much needed repairs? I have a bad feeling about this…
