Willem Dafoe Joins Daybreakers

willem.jpegIn the Vampire world of Daybreakers another vampire has joined the ranks, and his name is Willem Dafoe. We get the scoop from the lovely lads at cinemablend:

Ethan Hawke and Sam Neil had already been announced by Lions Gate as being a part of the production, but today StarPulse News Willem Dafoe has joined the cast and will play opposite Hawke. I’ll go out on a limb and suggest Ethan probably leads the rebels while Dafoe is part of the vampire establishment.

I think this makes perfect sense. Mainly because Willem Dafoe is a real life vampire. Just last week I was at a party, drinking vodka tonics with Mr. Dafoe and he had a semi circle of people in stitches as he recounted tales about his childhood pet Lardo the pudgy dog! He then told us that as delicious as the cocktail wieners were, he would kill to suck the blood out of Delta Burke’s fat succulent throat. He said “that fat cunt is a bitch to horde all that delicious plus sized slut blood!” There was a short awkward silence, and then I lightened the mood by suggesting a rousing game of torch light croquet!

Sometimes it seems like people were born to play certain roles. For those of you who do not know much about Daybreakers below is the plot synopsis from IMDB:

In the year 2017, a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the dominant plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher (Hawke) works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save the human race. a researcher (Hawke) works with a covert group of vamps to a band of humans fight back.

  1. I’m sorry this is crashing the topic but.. I just came back from watching The Transformers.

Campea, I bet my left boob that you wouldn’t be disappointed.
Doug, I don’t care if you’re shitting through your nose today, you better go watch this thing. There are no words to describe this movie and my experience watching it. It was so good I wanted to cry.

  2. Loved it when Dafoe played Max Schreck in ‘Shadow of the Vampire’. I’m always up for a vampire flick…even bad ones (Blade Trinity, right Doug?).
