It looks like Amy Smart will fear a mirror for the first time in her life. We get news of her new horror project Mirrors from the moviehole:
Crank” star Amy Smart has joined the cast of Alexandra Aja’s “Mirrors”, reports Bloody Disgusting. The film stars Kiefer Sutherland and Paula Patton.
The story centers on a cop-turned-department store security guard who discovers that there is something evil living inside the store’s old mirrors. He traces haunted occurrences back to the building being a hospital and a schizophrenic patient’s evil spirit trapped in a mirrored room.
I once played a game of Dungeons and Dragons where my mirror image came to life and backstabbed me! Such dangers lurk in the belly of Undermountain! I think this a cool idea for a horror film. Mirrors can be very creepy, when they are old, cracked and creaky – even moreso. Having a mirror as a gate or door to another plane or dimension is a great foundation in which to build a horror film.
Amy Smart is liked very much around these parts, she has outstanding talent and she is always a welcome addition to most any cast as far as I am concerned. As more news becomes availiable to me I will keep you posted, but this certainly looks good at this early stage of the game.
Terry thats hilarious because I was about to post the very same thing, Prince of Darkness was an awesome movie and any time anyone mentiones mirrors I think of it.
Also, I enjoy Amy Smart, but the news I enjoyed most was hearing Alexander Aja has a new film coming WOOT

I think Amy is one of those actresses that slips under the radar..
I think she always puts in a good solid performance and she has shown flexibility in the roles she does..
I think she was awesome in Butterfly Effect when she was playing the alternate universe where she was all messed up and on the drugs..
But seriously though I think she deserves more credit for her roles, its only because she doesnt go out and have wild nights, crash cars and drive drunk that you dont hear much about her.
Plus I think she is incredibly hot especially in road trip in the scene where she gets with breckin myer and she films it all, and then of course theres her mall make out scene with Jason Statham in Crank.. Thats hot as well..
Yep, mirrors can be creepy. I always think of John Carpenters ‘Prince of Darkness’ when I’m near one. Maybe thats why I look like shit.

I like Amy. She is a good little actress. This sounds like something good. Sutherland is on board which makes it even more appealable to see.
