Huge news about the He-Man film that seems to have been stuck in limbo. It looks like
Legendary Pictures may have snapped up the rights to “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe”, according to The Sun Online. Bryan Singer’s crowd are also apparently touting Brad Pitt (wasn’t he going to play “Captain America” at one stage, too? Too funny!) to wear the shield and panties.
“They are very keen on Brad for the role. He’ll have to bulk up though — he’s very fit but not to He-Man proportions”, an insider tells the newspaper. Gerard Butler (“300”) is also apparently in the mix.
This would be the best He-Man news ever. If I am not mistaken I think we even mentioned on a previous Uncut episode that Pitt would be the best choice for He-Man. Not only does Brad look the part, he also a very talented actor. They are going to pump him full of growth hormone and he will be massive by the time they start to shoot.
The world of He-Man is a great backdrop for a sci-fi epic. Skeletor is one of the greatest villians ever and his castle is a kickass place for a final showdown. It is no secret that I love sword and sorcery films, I hope they are able to put this together in a way that will do justice to the origional ideas and yet be wildly entertaining.

I can see a little resemblence between the two and he is a good muscular guy

Just to say this,Brad Pitt playing He-Man is a good idea but it’s all false but there could be other actors to play He-Man like Travis Fimmel,Paul Walker and Josh Holloway.
My pick is Travis Fimmel to play He-Man but Lengendary Picutres can sign Travis Fimmel up to play He-Man if Brad Pitt quits the role.
John Woo could still be coming back to direct the movie but he is making other movies in China.
He-Man movie remake will be better than cheesy 1987 flick starring Dolph Lundgren.

I can’t see Brad Pitt as He-Man! He won’t be a good He-Man even though I like Brad Pitt as an actor!! I doubt that a He-Man movie can be any good.

Regardless if he’s genetically skinny he can bulk up believe that.. that’s what creatine supplements are there for, they add body mass. ANYBODY can get the weight with supplements the trainers have now… and Pitt doesn’t look 43 so he could pull off tha roll. He’d be a great fit with the size.

No way Pitt is going to do a movie like this. But in the remote event he did, he couldn’t bulk up enough. He is genetically too skinny.

HeMan can be a lot of things, but he has to be beefcake. Someone with some serious muscles will play him.
