Emma Thompson in talks for Men in Black 3

Nanny McPhee and Harry Potter’s Professor Sybil Trelawney may be taking on a new face as she is in talks to join Men in Black 3.

Emma Thompson (Nanny McPhee, Stranger Than Fiction) is in talks to join Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Jermain Clement and Josh Brolin in the third “Men in Black” installment, which is once again directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and is scheduled to hit 2D and 3D theaters on May 25th, 2012.

Thompson is said to be playing Agent Oh, head of the 60s era MiB.

I like Thompson, and in everything she does she is so different that I cannot wait to see what she has in her bag for this one if she takes it.

    1. I’d love to see Frank the Pug back again and out of his Pug dog disguise (Maybe even his arrival on earth).
Frank’s true face was reveald in the animated series. He looked almost exactly the same underneath. The look on J’s face was classic.

  1. After the crapfest that was MIB II, I really don’t want to see a 3rd installment. Just another sequel that falls under the category of “Yeah, the last one sucked, but it made a lot of money, so let’s roll out another”. But what can you do, it is a business after all, they’re in it to make money.

I think it would’ve been a cool idea to do a prequel, and Brolin would’ve made a perfect “young” TLJ. Could’ve been about the first contact with aliens and the start of MIB.

    1. You do realize that this film will have Agent J going back in time to meet a younger Agent K, played by Brolin.

This is treading on prequel grounds, and maybe setting a precedent for why Agent K singled out Edwards to begin with.
