Seems the gateway drug to get wrestlers hooked on the acting bug isn’t action films. No, lets not put them in a vaguely related form of entertainment. It’s the family friendly “fish out of water” badass becomes a babysitter shtick in The Chaperone.
The new movie is about a just released, ex-con dad who unwittingly becomes a chaperone for his teen daughter’s class trip to New Orleans, while he is on the run from his old cronies who are trying to kill him.
So while I am sure Triple H is a fine wrestler, and more than capable of making teenage boys swoon with his rough and tumble looks, he isn’t an actor.
So why headline a movie? Oh yeah, its WWE Studios. Of course they are going to monopolize on their “performers” for their films.
I just wish they would make a good one.
I think Triple H will do great in teh movie. If John Cena made a movie HHH can, I am sorry but I don’t like the way John Cena did his movies I don’t think Cena can act. HHH is more decent of an actor didi good on Blade, he has to start somewhere.

I’m a big Triple H fan and I enjoy his matches in the ring but, as for acting….. just say that if he were to have a staring roll I would like to see him as Thor. Hey…. he has the build, the hair and of course the HAMMER!

He might have the look and the hair, but I would prefer an ACTOR get the role of Thor.

he’s not??? what do you call what he does for a living? i think this movie will fall flat not because of his acting abilities, or lack thereof. but more due to the plot. how many times do we need to see mr. nanny, and the spy next door to know that this plot sucks the big one. i do not think triple h is ready to star in a remake of gone with the wind but i think even his acting abilities are better than this. as far as wanting a “real actor “to play thor or conan i didnt see much acting prowess from arnie in conan back then… come to think of it governor is his best acting yet. all hail president HHH. oh dear god!!!!!
What do you expect? Dwayne Johnson managed to move from wrestling to acting so now everyone wants to be next.
Although I have to say that I would picture Triple H as one of the cronies (maybe the leader) rather than the unwitting dad. Maybe Tim Robbins as the unwitting dad.
he did an ok job in blade trinity. i wish he had gone more of a supporting role route to try to learn the craft of acting, but i guess vince wants his son-in-law to suck ahead ofschedule in the acting ring.
