Bill Condon to Direct Twilight Breaking Dawn

Well it looks like they finally have their director for the movie that is going to be based on a book that should have been an epilogue to the third book.

Bill Condon will direct Twilight Breaking Dawn.

Screen Rant says:

We reported back a few weeks ago that Summit Entertainment is approaching some award-winning directors to helm the final entry in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn. We’ve heard a couple of additional big names bandied about since then, including Stephen Daldry (The Reader) and even M. Night Shyamalan. Well, it looks like we have a winner at last.

Variety is reporting that Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) is in final negotiations to direct Breaking Dawn

Now I know some Twhater is going to chime in with the “they shouldnt have made any of these movies” to validate his masculinity, so save it for those sites that like trolls.

The rumour is still stong that they will in fact make Breaking Dawn two movies (just like Harry Potter) but I don’t see a reason for this movie as – SPOILER HERE – Nothing really happens in the book. Let alone enough to make two movies out of it.

I am looking forward to Eclipse, because all that lore and cool stuff about Twilight comes together for a great action packed battle.

This last (last two?) will just be to beat dead horses or some other analogy for pointless efforts.

  1. 1- the films are not that bad 2- there is not a lot of fighting going on but there is a lot to find out to do with the story and the reson why there might be 2 films is because there 2 storys being told one from the wolf point of view and the other from the vamp point of view and dont forget they are fan based film if your not a fan you wont like them

  2. i watched the first one and thought it was alright not the best just alright, but when i watched new moon i had a wtf moment, i asked my self i f you become a werewolf does that mean you can never were a shirt again? and do you always have to stand in emo stance? that was the only thing that bothered me, other than that the three sec wolf fight was ok

    1. Everything that happens in the 4th book can be summed up in that one sentence.

Its an afterthought. An epilogue. They could show snapshots of Bella the Vampire and her baby while the credits roll on Eclipse and it will still have as much content.

      1. That information is going to be in the Trailer, its not spoiling anything, it is the premise of the last film.

As of New Moon, Alice sees the future where Bella is a vamp. Nothing is spoiled that hasnt already been said in the films.

  3. i for one dont understand the hate, im not interested in the films so i dont waste time talking aboout how bad they are. for all the nerd stuff we (men) like and adore, who are we to deem something so many people seem to enjoy as stupid and pointless. let the girls have their twilight while we fanboygasm over clash, iron man 2, star wars, etc, etc….

    1. They had to make them fast.

If they released them every 2 years, what would happen when the flash in the pan popularity of the series fades and they still had 2 more films to make.

I don’t hate Twilight, but it is a fad that will disappear like New Kids on the Block.
