The updated Beauty and the Beast story by CBS Films called Beastly has found itself its Wicked Witch. One half of the once inseparable Olsen Twins will be responsible for cursing the “prince” into his beastly form.

Based on the “young adult” novel by Alex Flinn, Beastly is a modern day telling of the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale, in which a witch (Olsen) turns a handsome yet smarmy young man into a self-loathing monster. As we reported previously, said monster will be played by Alex Pettyfer with Vanessa Hudgens as the beautiful one who can break the spell
I think the separation of the twins is a good career move. They had a slew of successful tween flicks and if they ever hope to outgrow this solo gigs is the only way to go.
She’s the prettiest ugly girl I have ever seen. I don’t get the drool factor some offer over these girls, but they are far from ugly. I am sure she will fit well in this.
I just watched the Wackness a couple days ago. She was pretty entertaining in that as weird little modern day hippie like character, small role but still amusing. Good movie.
I don’t see her part being all that big in this movie either, probably showing up at the beginning and maybe the end. Overall, not really interested in the movie, though. Probably wait til it comes out on DVD and rent to see how her performance has changed through the years.
