Classic Indiana Jones Mistakes

We all love finding those little mistakes in movies. You know… like “Hey, that guy was standing over there… now suddenly he’s on the other side” kind of mistakes… and the Indiana Jones films are FULL of them. With Indy ruling the box office right now, I thought it would be fun to share some of these with you. Movie Blog reader Jon pointed me to moviemistakes where they have over 70 mistakes from the classic Indy films. You should go see them all… but for now here are a couple of them.

  1. Ok the “damage changes” wasn’t a mistake…I know this, because I’ve watched that movie a lot, and you just put a pic of a scene, and then put a pic of a scene, that was BEFORE the top scene.

  2. Off Topic….Possible INDY 5 titles…

Indiana Jones & The Oracle Of Atlantis

Indiana Jones & The Bottomless Pit

Indiana Jones & The Hidden Garden

Indiana Jones & The Sands Of Time

Indiana Jones & The Five Leaf Clover

Actually one of these is a working title of a story Lucas was fond of shooting and turning into an INDY feature….can you guess which one?

  3. yeah- theres a big one in indy 4 where if you blink you can almost see aliens fly away in a humongous UFO…wierd…

its one of those “one secound your fighting somewhat down to earth germans and all of a sudden the movie turns into E.T.”

moments that you kinda go like “HEY did you see that?! i just think i sawll the wierdest thing! aw man…killed the movie for me…”

  4. I used to frequent that website before but back then it was all text and no pictures…I wonder if anybody uploaded a picture of the racing chariot with the gas tank (or was it a muffler) from Gladiator. That was funny although that scene happens so quick, you’d only really notice it if you paused it at the moment the chariot fell over.

  5. The biggest mistake for Indy may be the fact that he’s a misogynist. Now that’s a classic error. But all the evidence is contained in the four films: the lonely upbringing by a tyrant of a father, the aggressive flirting with women, the arguments and physical violence with girlfriends, and then dumping them when they get too close. All evidence you’ll need can be found here: http://tiny.cc/RK1D8

  6. its defiantly amazing how many mistakes there are in these films but at the same time it shows how amazingly hard it is to make a film and how hard it is to keep all the mistakes. However there is good reason for certain mistakes. The case for the tail on the plane is because the tail was shot off on a stage plane and to be able to control the real plane they need that rudder. The self trimming beard is defiantly funny cause there is no real excuse for that other than sean must have had a hot date lol but who cares its sean connery lol
