If you were a fan of the much missed show ‘Millennium,’ you will be very excited about this news. It turns out Chris Carter might be bringing back Lance Henriksen to reprise his as Frank Black in the ‘X-files’ sequel!

Lance Henriksen, says a scooper for Aint it Cool News, could be reprising his role as Frank Black (from “Millennium”, the “X-Files” spin-off) for the “X-Files” sequel, shooting next month in Vancouver.
This to me sounds like a terrific idea. ‘Millennium’ was a show that was cancelled way too early considering the fan base it had at the time. It was a show I turned to when ‘The X-files’ was losing my interest with the whole ‘conspiracy’ angle the show was focusing on.
I for one am hoping this rumor will indeed be a fact in the next coming weeks, because I would love to Lance Henriksen reprise the role of Frank Black again.
What are your thoughts on this?
I’m a big fan of Millennium and often spend the weekend watching the DVD’s in a marathon session. I was left feeling empty when Millennium was cancelled with the last episode showing Frank and Jordan driving off into ???? Too many questions left unanswered. I would like to see Millennium revived (I’m tired of all the happy, happy, joy, joy crap on TV). Millennium exhibited a dark realism that has yet to be matched by any other show. Enough time and events have transpired since the cancellation that there would ample fodder for the script jockies.
Bad??? What movie were you watching….??? It was very good and did quite well in the box office when it came out. Will see how the second one does and hopefully… the character of Frank Black will be BACK… :)

I like Lance and I hope this is true! I also hope that the second movie will be good at least and not bad like the first movie was!!
This is not just suprising, this is damn skippy!
However, the Millennium storyline (sort of) wrapped up in that previously mentioned ‘X-Files’ ep, so the question is what role does Frank Black will have in X-Files 2.
Since the last season of Millennium had Black as a FBI profiler, and Mulder prior to X-Files was also a profiler, I wonder if they work together in this capacity. Or maybe we have some Owls and/or Roosters in our midst…

i loved millennium. that first season was off the charts.
i hated the xfiles episode that had frank with mulder and scully though. it was really dumb awful.
This is the coolest news I’ve heard in a while. I’ve always wanted to see a Millennium movie so I guess that having Frank Black in X Files 2 is the next best thing. And even though Terry O’Quinn played a self destructive FBI agent in the first movie I would love to see him back as Peter Watts (whether he lived or died in season 3 was left open in case they were able to do another season). Of course, since O’Quinn has hit it big with Lost, he’s gonna cost more.
Millennium kicked ass that first season… I didn’t quite understand the second season though. I’d love to see Frank Black inserted into the new x files… then maybe we can get more frank black movies after that. I wonder if they’ll have Frank Black’s boss though (what was his name)… cuz the actor that played him blew himself up in x files 1.
I had suggested this way back when John made the first post about X-Files 2 being confirmed a go. I think its a great idea as anything Lance is in is usually good. I was excited to see Millennium air as it was a welcome change to the alien conspiracy of the X-Files and I was even more disappointed to see it go off the air. Lets hope we see Frank Black return.
